Welcome! This site is just a set of Markdown files that Astro renders into static HTML pages at build time. Every article is a .md file inside src/content/articles/ — one in German, one in English.

How new articles are created#

  1. Add a file to src/content/articles/en/ (and optionally de/)
  2. Fill in the frontmatter (locale, title, description, pubDate)
  3. Write Markdown — done

The translation logic is deliberately simple: the German and English versions share the same filename. The language switch in the header just swaps the URL prefix.

What makes this site work#

  • Static — the build produces plain HTML, no server required
  • Bilingual — German at the root, English under /en/
  • Validated — broken frontmatter fails the build with a precise error message instead of quietly shipping a broken page
